HomePort Model Ships are built from the decks and structures are laser cut from gator board, a type
of plastic with a foam core center. This material is very strong and light weight, while still looking great on the water. We purchase models fiberglass hulls from companies in the USA and England for testing of all classes of ships before selling our products.
Gator board is an easy product to get used to with a little experimenting. It takes a little practice but once you get the hang of it, you will be able to build any of our ships in no time. Our etch is stainless steel which is stronger than brass to hold up on transport to your pond without bending if tapped.
