The Ship
The Armidale-class ships are operated by the Australian Patrol Boat Group, and based in Cairns and Darwin. They are primarily tasked with border protection, fisheries patrols, and the interception of unauthorised arrivals by sea.
The Model
The Armidale is a 22 inches long model in 1/96 scale, a perfect model for your desk, office or zipping around your pool. The R/C version is easy to carry and comes with motor mounts for micro brushless motors and a list of ESC and motors. If you wish to build your own the Armindale can purchase the hull, deck house, and fittings from our Shapeways store.
